SALES, THE NAME OF THE GAME

As the year slowly by surely comes to a close, this will most probably be my last blog post. In a fitting style it would be worthwhile to reflect back to just after the last blog post from me and see what has changed and what I have learnt from then.

Sales has been the name of the game for the past 2 months or so. It’s no longer production or sourcing materials, or photoshoots and media building, but good old fashion selling!

I haven’t learn two things from our sales process up to this point, one being that sometimes in life your product will sell itself and other times it will require immense and intense pushing, and two, no matter how great your social media is or your exposure to the public, some products just don’t sell.

There are a number of reasons for a product not selling, such as price as was the case for us, but in the end people don’t actually need our product. It’s a wonderful product, but is a novelty and fashion trend.

I will going forward in my life rather look to be involved in things not because they could sell or possibly won’t sell, but because I believe in the good that the product has to offer and most importantly because people will need the product. I will pursue products and services that will improve the lives of people and not just compliment their personalities.
