This year

I have often in the past been very quick to judge people on my first impression of them. This year has taught me and forced me to not do this when meeting new people. I have opened my mind and heart throughout this year and as a result I have been able to meet more new people. We live in a world where if you don’t know anyone in a public place we will turn straight to our cell phones and social media devices and hide behind them as a safety mechanism. Unfortunately the world is becoming more comfortable conversing online than in person and this especially applies with meeting new people. This is why I have learnt the importance of real conversations with new people because each person has had different experiences and learning throughout their lives and you never know what valuable insights you might gain out of meeting new and interesting people.
