So after a bit of the much needed badgering from my mother, I finally sent out a mass email to all my extended family explaining what the product Rain Dear was about and encouraging them to make sales. This included the likes of aunties, uncles, cousins, parent’s friends, parent’s friend’s kid’s dogs, granny in-law’s friends and the likes. The response was phenomenal, a lot of them not only liked the product but they forwarded it to their friends!

Since then the enquiries for purchasing the items have been strong, which has reinforced how significant it to utilize the networks you know. Since the beginning of the project I, and we as a group to some extent, have been trying to get our coats to sell amongst are target market of young fashion conscious females. I have recently come to understand the significance of targeting those nearest to us. Not only are they supporting, but also they have shown a large interest in the actual product, and what’s more is that these are the people who actually purchase beyond the likes on Facebook. When the correct people buy your product best believe that the word will spread through word of mouth, and their extended networks on Social Media.
