“How in the hell could a man (or woman) enjoy being awakened at 6:30am by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you make lots of money for somebody else and are asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?” – Charles Bukowski

Charles Bukowski spells out exactly what drives someone to become an entrepreneur. If there was the Entrepreneurs Credo it would probably start off with that quote then follow onto something like, “We do what we want, when we want to create opportunities for ourselves to generate money to better ourselves and those around us”.

This world is saturated with the ideologies that the corporate, “safe” way of life is the correct direction one should choose. The old saying our parents still say to us today goes like this, “study hard, get good grades, and you will get a good job and eventually you will be rich”. This doesn’t work anymore in the globalised, volatile world we live in today.

Entrepreneurs are the Blue Ocean answer to the corporate lifestyle. We are the alternative, the innovators, the creatives, the utility of growth!

The question for the day for you to reflect upon;

HAVE I GROWN TODAY?
