"Play the BALL, not the MAN"

Although we only had a few hours of sleep, we were up early and ready for this mornings genesis lecture. We had a special guest in to speak to us today - Paul Harrison.

Paul gave us a wide range of information that we needed to consider in the process of constructing our shareholders agreement. The most important aspect in the process of doing so was to always initiate HARD conversation. This is key, because it brings in a formation where issues can be addressed in a straight forward manner. The second part of this was to "play the ball not the man". This helps address what the actual issue is, instead of who is involved in the issues.

We are coming close to the final shareholders submission and these tips really have helped us get a better understanding of how things needed to be done in order to have a fair and concise agreement among our group.
