The highlight of this week for me was learning how to deliver the most convincing pitch. Learning how to pitch is one of the most important skills and things a successful entrepreneur needs to master. That is why I have decided to dedicate this blog post on how to pitch.
The 6 Basic Steps to a World Class Pitch
Step 1:
Who are you!
People don’t buy the product they buy you
People buy more from people that they like
You must connect with your audience
Make it personal
Build trust
CONNECT (maybe by telling a story)
Step 2:
Highlight the pain point
State the problem
Feel the pain
Outline the CONCEPT
Explain the solution
Do this in 8 seconds!
Step 3:
Sell your Brand!
It’s your brand.
Transfer the trust and credibility
Your brand must be sexy and beautiful
It is your promise to your customer!
Connect your customer to your brand as they must relate
Step 4:
Demonstrate Success
Success breeds success
Show your track record (demonstrate how successful you have been)
Show that you have TESTED your product!
Show that you have actually taken the product to the market and it has SOLD.
Sell it
Ebay, Gumtree, OLX, Jammie Plaza
Step 5:
Show the numbers:
On one slide
Show the financial credibility
Show that it can work financially
Step 6:
ASK!
What do you want?
Be clear
Don’t leave them hanging of confusion
You must ask
Always demonstrate what is in it for them
