Today I am asking myself why making some decisions is so hard. For one of my assignment I had to choose a type of business I want to start and talk about it. I find that so ironic because for the last 3 years of my life I have been very serious about starting a business but I believe I have not come up with the winning idea yet. In 2012 I did start my own business it was quite a learning experience and I am glad for it. Granted I was clueless about half the things that business requires but I can say when I re-launch it, it’s going to be a winner. I have also been on a few consortiums where I worked with 3 start-up business, it was so fulfilling and I have never been able to go backwards since then.

At times I must admit it is easier to jump onto somebody else band wagon than push your own but through course readings and the prompting of particular lecturers it has been repeatedly highlighted that if I do not design my own life it will be designed for me. I reinforce my decision to push my own band wagon and not somebody else’s…

Today is my last day blogging for a few weeks so I want to highlight some miles stones that I have reached so far and lessons that I am learning…

A) I am designing my own path in life (no more cruise control), I also realize that I am a work in progress and this course is moulding me.

B) Hard work is HARD... It's meant to be.

C) I have control over my "Circle of influence" so in as much as many things concern me, I must focus my energy on what I can actually control.

And laslt, a lesson I mentioned a few days ago

D) Never give up without giving it 100% first.

I hope you have taken some things away from the lessons that I have shared that I am learning. So for the last time this week:

Food for thought:
