Synapses VS Ideas

Mind/Concept maps – a very interesting tool used organize lots of information on a page much like the way in which we use a business canvas to represent a business plan.

It reminds me of the images you see of what goes on in the brain when electrical impulses move from one point to another and there is what looks like a jungle of synapses moving all at once – it’s really information moving in an organised manner. Bear with me here – when you compile a mind map you are mirroring that process that happens in the brain. Today I exercised that skill, we took a central issue we face as students and presented it in the form of a mind map. A great tool we have been putting into practice as we are choosing our genesis products and seeing how many things we need to consider in producing them e.g the central point is the product, from it branches out “arms” which each refer to a major aspect like suppliers, target market, costing etc. Once placed, each of these can sprout arms of its own and so on. This is a very basic application of the tool, BUT IT WORKS…
