(The humiliating) R75 CHALLENGE

So, today was terrible.

We did our R75 Challenge brief for Creativity in Business.

The Brief:

Each group must use no more than R75 and increase the value of this investment by as much as possible. To achieve this, each group has any 2 straight hours to complete it on any day of the week. The group then need to document it and present a 3 minute presentation to the class on the results.

We decided to use our R75 to go to the R5 china store along Main Road in Claremont to buy plastic roses in order to sell them at the traffic lights to make a profit. We headed out there in the blistering heat (nobody warned us that today of all days was going to be the hottest place in the world). Litle did we know that one of our rivalry teams had the same idea to set up at the same set of traffic lights. We drove past them and saw wods and wods of R50, R100 and even R200 notes. We didn't take notice of what they were asking money for, we just got very excited in seeing how the people were reacting to them.

We waited 30 minutes until their time was up and off we went. All kitted out with our plastic roses, cardboard signs and empty jars. Little did we know what we were about to experience. More to follow when we upload our final presentation video.

For now, here is just a picture of how excited we were to hit the streets to make some money:
